ILCNSW Relocation Update #3

April 2, 2012

constructing the new ILC Display - 21 March 2012 Our New Office Site and the New Display
ILCNSW is moving to Westpoint Blacktown in April 2012.
Site preparation is progressing well.
Photo was taken on 21-March-2012 at the regular site visit, showing the Display area and the construction of the 1-bedroom apartment.
To prepare for the relocation, ILCNSW has been closed since 1st March for appointments, pop-ins and group tours. While our display is closed, Info-line 1300 885 886 continues to operate.
We look forward to welcoming you to our New Premises in May 2012.

ILC Training - Manual Wheelchair Prescription

This two day course covers clinical aspects of manual wheelchair prescription, and provides hands-on investigation of manual wheelchair features.

- Clinical reasoning in manual wheelchair assessment
- Product knowledge and manual wheelchair feature update
- Transportation and handling of manual wheelchairs
- Environmental considerations and constraints

This course has been developed in collaboration with the Master Builders Association of NSW and the Building Designers Association of NSW. This training program will provide you with the skills and knowledge to confidently design and build for the older generation and people with a disability.

ILC Everyone Connects: Consumer Mini-Expo

The Independent Living Centre NSW, in collaboration with the Telstra Foundation, is presenting a Mini-expo for people with complex communication needs (CCN).
The cost is FREE for people with CCN and one family member/ unpaid carer. Others (e.g. therapists, teachers, paid carers) are welcome to attend at a cost of $25pp.
