This small dome shaped unit is battery operated to provide one hour of illumination in the event of a power failure. It uses NiCad power cells and variable rate charging circuitry. The unit is ceiling mounted with concealed fixing screws. It has a test switch and LED that flashes the time when the power ceases. This potentially alerts people to overnight power loss.
A white freestanding electric can opener with a bottle opener and knife sharpener incorporated into the unit. The lever that activates the unit has a grey slip resistant handle.
