More Details

* The Benchtop Bowser features a plastic reservoir with a handle, and four buttons - quarter, half or full cup, and a continuous flow button. The buttons feature raised dots for Braille users.
* The water is heated to 100 degrees Celsius within four seconds.
* The water tank is located at the back of the kettle and can be lifted out for filling with the inbuilt handle. The tank has a lid also that is to be removed for filling. The tank holds up to 2.2 litres of water.
* A digital display shows the temperature of the water.
* Quiet operation.
* The drip tray at the bottom can be removed for cleaning.

Factors To Consider

* The dispensing of water can be seen by some as slow. For example to fill a full cup takes about 10 seconds.
* Large mugs require the full cup button to be pressed twice.
* Large mugs hang slightly over the edge of the drip tray. This makes it easy to find by touch alone.
* The Hannover Kettle takes a bit more room than a regular kettle.
* Removes the need to use your finger or a liquid level to test the height of the water in the cup when pouring from a traditional kettle
* Quieter than regular kettles.

Applications
* Suitable for people who are blind or who are at risk when making a hot drink using regular methods
* Could be useful in group situations where members have vision impairment and are not confident in pouring their own drinks from a kettle during tea break.
