Frame
This wheelchair has an epoxy coated steel frame and fibreglass casing.
The frame has fittings for swing away foot plates. The wheelchair comes with three interchangeable coloured side panels in red, blue and silver.
Seat
A Captain Style (car seat style) high back seat comes standard. The Captain seat is a foam contoured seat with a grey vinyl cover. The seat is height adjustable and can be removed from the wheel base. A seat belt is standard and is attached to the base of the arms.
Backrest
The backrest can be adjusted and can manually recline. The backrest folds forward for transportation.
Motor
The wheelchair has two 1.1 Horse Power (HP) motors. Freewheeling is possible by releasing levers that are situated behind the seat on both sides.
Battery
It has an on-board charger. Battery Charging is achieved by connecting the charger provided to the mains power point and plugging it into the charging point at the front of the wheelchair on the right hand side of the base.
Controller
A 50 Amp P&G VSI controller with four buttons is standard. The controller can be extended to the desired position and can be mounted on the left or right armrest. It is programmable and retractable and features flush on and off, and mode switches, proportional joy stick, battery charge indicator, horn and speed control. If the controller is moved to one armrest from the other the reset button must be activated before the chair will function.
Wheels
The standard drive wheels are pneumatic. The middle drive wheels are 360mm in diametre by 75mm wide. The front and rear wheels are solid castors. The wheel base is not adjustable however the front castors are fitted with a flexible suspension joint.
Armrests
The armrests are full length, contour moulded and lift up. They are height and width adjustable and removable.
Footplates
The single, one piece footplate is mounted on the wheelbase unit and is one piece with adjustable height, length and angle. The footrest can fold up against the frame when not in use. Optional swing away or manually elevating legrests are available.
Brakes
The brakes are electromagnetic.
Transport
This chair cannot be transported with an occupant. It has tie down points for securing the wheelchair in a vehicle, however the user must not be sitting in the chair. Transporting the chair can be facilitated by dismantling the wheelchair into the seat unit, base unit, batteries and base unit cowling. The seat folds flat forward for transporting.
