Short Description
An electrically operated alternating air pressure mattress replacement system. It consists of a multi cell mattress and air control pump. Paired cells alternatively inflate and deflate. The system uses the energy within the mattress itself to alternately "pull" cells away from the user. This results in more pressure removal for longer periods of time and can be customised for use under the most vulnerable body parts. The cells alternate over a 14 minute cycle. Available in one size only.

More Details
DynamULink? Turbocharged Deflation
* A patented cell design uses elasticised members to transfer the power of inflating cells to force down the deflating sets.
* This alternately removes almost all interface pressure under nearly 80% of the user's body
* The at risk heel area is completely elevated for nearly 30% of the alternation cycle.
* This unique cell design allows cell pairs to naturally remain upright when normal cells deform or collapse under user weight.
Structure
* 28 paired cells
* Four static head cells
* Cell material is TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), high density, multi-zoned
* Two positioning handles on each side
* Cell cycle is paired one in two, 14 minutes per cycle
Cover
* Welded stretch, breathable Dartex which is water resistant
Pump / Controls
* Mode of operation in non continuous
* Transport function (hose end cap)
* Auto Startup
* Comfort Override Control
* Self Diagnostics
* Audible/visual alarm
* Mute Function
* Static Mode
* Care Mode
* Incline Mode
* Auto Anti Tamper
Safety Features
Infection Control: All outer surfaces are fully welded. A unique 'mattress within a mattress' design ensures complete protection.
Customised Features
* The system can be customised to focus therapy on particular areas of skin breakdown
* Elastic members can be quickly engaged and disengaged under the user - focusing therapy under at risk areas by up to 50% from standard mode.
Considerations
All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
It is advisable that a health professional be consulted when considering a suitable pressure care product.
Maintenance
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintenance
