Short Description

A lightweight portable ceiling mounted hoist. Can be used
independently by the user or with the assistance of a carer to transfer from bed to wheelchair / toilet shower etc. There is one model with snap in rechargeable battery pack or DC motor driven.

Method Of Use

Method of Use
* The slings are put in position and the drum and cable pulled along the track until they are above the person being lifted.
* The slings are attached to the spreader bar and the upswitch activated to lift the person.
* When raised clear, he/she is moved sideways along the track.
The track can be mounted to allow transfers from:
* Bed to wheelchair
* Wheelchair to toilet
* Wheelchair to bath

* Portable gantry (freedom frame) an overhead suspension system supported on 4 legs. It can be dismantled and transported in a carry bag. It is designed for use on holidays.
* 650kg overhead tracking to any type of ceiling (reinforcement of ceiling may be required).
* travelling track which covers the full area of a room eg. toilet /
shower / bath / spa / change table / physiotherapy area.
* slewing jib. Assembles behind the bed for short term use or swimming pool entry.
* pick up frame.
* A hook can be suspended in the ceiling for hoist attachment.
* A parent with a back problem may use a hoist to pick up a baby in a specially made sling.

More Details

* Consists of a free wheel track bolted into a ceiling beam, with a suspension bar and hook.
* A drum and cable attached to the bar, and slings are used with the spreader bar on the lower end of the drum.
* The drum and cable can lift up to 130kg.
* A rechargeable battery powered motor attached to the drum.
* The lifters have a top and bottom spreader bar which allows an upright
sitting position to be maintained during transfer when using band slings.
* The user need not disrobe before transferring to the bathing / toilet area.
* Suitable for use in 'wet' areas as system is only 12volt D.C.
* Users can be dressed / undressed with ease, have a bed pan positioned and have incontinence pads, sanitary pads, nappies changed.
* Variety of slings: Band slings, dressing (small vinyl band sling), cradle
(divided leg) slings, head support sling.
* Loan units available to ensure no disruptions for patient during servicing etc.
