Adaptive Technology Services provide independent evaluation, training, information and recommendations on appropriate technology for people who are blind or vision impaired.
. Adaptive Technology utilises computers for reading and writing tasks and accessing information, and incorporates systems such as large print, voice output, electronic Braille and print scanning.
. Training programs are provided at Enfield, Newcastle, Canberra and
Wollongong.
. Service also available to employers and other agencies to assist in the
placement of persons who are vision impaired.
. Service are free to individual clients. Fee for service for consultations
to government and industry.
