- must comply with AS 1428.1 - "Design for access and mobility - Part 1: General requirements for access - new building work".
A shower seat with a width of 960 -1100mm and depth of 390 - 400mm is required to comply with AS1428.1.
The fastenings, materials and construction of the seat must be able to withstand a force of 1100 N to comply with AS1428.1.
The seat must be folding, slip resistant and have rounded edges.
