Short Description
The Cavlock CL100 is a slam closed parrot beak sliding door mortice
lock. It can be used as latch only or fitted with a cylinder to enable snibbing and/or locking. The CL100 Lavlock for sliding toilet doors has all the features of the CL100 as well as 'In Use/Vacant' indication.

Cavlock CL100:
*Combines latching and security locking in the one case latching.
*Slam or manually closed (by turning handle). Unlatch by turning handle.
Once latched the door can be locked or unlocked by turning a key or snib depending on the type of cylinder fitted.
*Secure - the door cannot be unlatched/unlocked by lifting.
*Using a D pull lever type handle the opening action of the door also
unlatches the lock.
*Lock will accept any door furniture which has a 8 mm square spindle.
*Takes standard or security Europrofile cylinders which can be master keyed.
*Locking cylinders can be fitted at anytime.
*Complete CL100 lock and digital key pad version available.
*Slam shut locking version available.
CL100 Lavlock:
*Is supplied as a complete set including lever type D handles, stainless steel indicating face plate, locking cylinder and escutcheons.
*Only slight pressure required to lock sliding door.
*It is specifically designed for use with Cavity Sliding door units but can be fitted to most types of door furniture including surface mounted sliding doors.

For public buildings and any facility which must comply with AS1428.1:
AS 1428.1 - Design for Access and mobility, Part1: New building work" is the relevant standard which includes specifications on door controls in Section 11.
"The door handle and related hardware shall be of the type that allows the door to be opened with one hand.
Note:
1 Lever handles are preferred because doorknobs do not provide an adequate grip for people with hand impairment.
2 The handle should be such that the hand of a person who cannot grip will not slip from the handle during the operation of the latch.
3 Knobs on bolts and snibs should be designed so that they provide an easy grip for the hand.
4 In certain situations, compliance with this item may necessitate the use of sliding or power-assisted doors.
Where lever handles are provided the clearance between the handles and the back plate or door face at the centre of the handle shall be not less than 35mm and not more than 45mm. "(AS1428.1-2001)
AS1428.1-2001 Clause 10.2.10 WC Doors, includes:
"Doors shall be provided with an in-use indicator and a bolt or catch, and shall be openable for the outside in an emergency."
