More Details
. The system consists of a portable pump unit and a cushion overlay made from a bacteria resistant, polyurethane with buckle straps on each corner of the cushion.
. It features 9 individual cylindrical air chambers that span the full width of the cushion and have a 1 in 2 alternating cycle. The chambers press stud into place and are separate from the cushion base and each other so that they can be removed and replaced if punctured.
. The pump supplies air to each alternate chamber resulting in a ten minute cycle of alternative inflation and deflation.
FEATURES
PUMP has an on / off switch and a manual pressure control which is set according to the user's weight and position. There is a written guide on the side of the pump unit. A bracket enables the pump to be attached onto the chair. There is a low pressure and power fail alarm light. These alarms are also audible.
PUMP / MATTRESS CONNECTORS have a "snap-lock" mechanism to minimise accidental disconnection.
ATTACHMENT of the overlays to the mattress is with corner buckle straps.
COVER is made from breathable, water resistant, two way stretch material.
MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS The overlay may be sponged down. Infection control guidelines are available. The pumps can be repaired. If an air chamber is punctured the whole air chamber can be removed and a replacement chamber press studded into place.
TRANSPORT FEATURE the tubes can be disconnected from the pump and by connecting them into each other, the pressure in the overlay will be maintained for up to two hours.
