Short Description
This powered wheelchair features a rear wheel drive rigid frame and a padded backrest and seat. The frame will accommodate most seating systems and the base has cantilevered arm suspension. This wheelchair has adjustable seat widths and depths and can be adjusted in backrest angle, armrest height and position and footplate height. Manual or powered tilt in space is available. Can be customised. Several options are available.

Seat and back combinations
To meet personal seating needs, particularly in regard to postural and pressure relief considerations, the Traxx seat frame will accommodate a variety of seat inserts and commercially available backrest systems. It can accommodate a variety of seat upholstery types including
. a padded seat and padded back
. a seat board and padded back. This combination allows the use of a specialised cushion, such as one for postural or pressure relief.

Upholstery: choice of fabric or vinyl in any combination; enduro foam
Seat:The seat width and depth are manually adjustable in 25mm increments to any measurement in the range of 400mm to 520mm. The standard cushion is contoured. Optional flat base to accommodate an alternative cushion eg from a seating system.
Backrest: angle and height are manually adjustable. The backrest is able to be folded forwards for transportation and storage. The standard back is contoured to provide lumbar support.
Armrests: removable and height adjustable. The armrest pads are adjustable in position separately to the armrest by up to 100mm. Small armrest panels attached.
Legrests: Swing away footplates. Legrest length is adjustable from 360mm to 510mm.
Headrest: padded, adjustable height, angle and position. Can be mounted on push handles or on backrest.
Tilting: Two settings of powered tilt are available ie.0 to 38 degrees or 5 to 43 degrees. Manual tilt has the range of 0 to 10 degrees.
Controller: Dynamic or Penny & Giles. Adjustable position.
Transporting: remove armrests and legrests. Tie down fittings on frame
Batteries: Recommended 38 amp/hr deep cell sealed in sealed battery box under seat
Charger: separate; charge point on controller
Freewheeling: turn knob on front of motors to disengage the motors
Castors: pneumatic. Standard castors 200 x 50mm. Optional Sports wheels 220 x 60mm.
Wheels: pneumatic. Standard wheels are 317 x 57mm. Optional Sports wheels 310 x 85mm.
Licence & Insurance Requirements
Registration requirements
In NSW, motorised wheelchairs that weigh less than 110 kg and cannot travel at more than 10 km/h do not have to be registered, provided they are being used by a person with mobility problems. A person driving a motorised wheelchair under these circumstances is defined as a pedestrian under the Australian Road Rules and is permitted to travel on a footpath or nature strip adjacent to the road.
Vehicles exempt from registration are covered by the nominal defendant scheme (administered by the Motor Accidents Authority) if they are at fault in an accident in NSW on a road or road-related area and cause injury to another person. However, this cover is only valid in NSW.
