Short Description
A tactile ground surface indicator made of reconstituted stone in a paver form. These pavers must be set down into the surrounding ground surface to ensure that the paver is flush adjacent ground surface.

Off Form finish provides flat dome top which appears to comply with AS1428.4.
Shot-blasted finish reduces width of level area of dome.
Installation
These tiles can be installed by any paver. These tiles must be installed professionally and used only as tactile ground surface indicators. Installation must be in accordance with requirements specified in AS1428.4.
When installed in existing flooring, a set down must be created to ensure that top of tile base is flush with surrounding ground surface, such that the raised portion of the tactile indicator is proud of the pavement surface.

Tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI) should comply with the current edition of the Australian Standard AS1428.4 - Design for access and mobility Part 4: Tactile Indicators. This standard provides specifications on the form of TGSI and on their installation. Refer to this standard to determine the luminance contrast required between the TGSI and the surrounding ground surface and for installation details including width, length and location for a wide range of applications.
The Building Code of Australia specifies in what situations TGSI must be installed. To comply with the BCA the installation must be in full compliance with the relevant sections of the current AS1428.4.
