Viridian Renew is a laminated glass which uses the forces of nature to keep the glass free from organic dirt. The glass also provides safety, noise reduction and fading control. It can be combined with other Viridian glass to enhance summer and winter comfort and security. Available in customised sizes.

The self cleaning glass has special dual action coating which works in two ways. First, the coating absorbs ultraviolet light from the sun. This in turn gradually and continuously breaks down and loosens organic dirt on the glass surface through what is called a PhotoActiv effect.

The second part of the process occurs when rain or water hits the glass. The self cleaning glass is "hydrophilic". Instead of beading or forming droplets as it does on ordinary glass, the water spreads or sheets evenly across the glass surface. As it runs off, it takes the loosened dirt with it. Compared with conventional glass, the water also dries very quickly and does not leave streaking or 'drying spots'. The self cleaning action is continuous and will last the life of the window.

This product is suitable for any exterior residential or commercial application, such as windows, conservatories, facades and glass roofs. It can be installed vertically or at an angle and is especially useful for inaccessible windows such as skylights where organic dirt normally collects.
