Short Description
NRMA Motoring and Services and NRMA Insurance have developed an education package targeting people who use motorised scooters. It provides information for every council in NSW to educate local scooter users on the safe use of scooters. Each kit includes a manual and slide presentation for running groups during information and awareness days, a take home user guide and supporting video.

. The kits will enable 174 councils to teach communities how to use wheelchairs safely. The information kit also highlights some of the dangers of operating a motorised wheelchair (or scooter) on the road.
. The kits aim to help meet the growing demand for motorised wheelchair safety knowledge among older people.
The training kit includes:
* The Training Handbook
* An IBM compatible disk containing a Power Point presentation of the modules / overhead transparencies.
* A user guide for participants ("Scooter Safe. User Guide")
* A training video "There's Something About Scooters"
* A resource list for further information
