Short Description

A paediatric positioning system consisting of outdoor or indoor mobility bases and a multifunctional seating unit. The base has a spring mounted seat and the degree of damping is adjustable in relation to the weight of the child. The Kimba Multifunctional Seating Unit is inserted on the base and is an adjustable and removable seating system. Two sizes of seat and base are available.

Spring Outdoor Mobility Base
. Size 1 has the option of either fixed or swivelling front wheels.
. Size 2 features swivelling front wheels.
. The spring system for the seat adjusts to three different levels of tension. The system is designed to provide a smooth ride over uneven surfaces.
. Frame consists of aluminium tubing.
. Seat tilt adjustment featured on the push bar.
. The push bar is a one piece design and has height adjustment.
. The frame is able to be folded and the folding mechanism features automatic folding guards.
. Folding storage bag is included.
. The load capacity of the frame is 50kg, while the load capacity of the Kimba seat is only 35kg.

Spring Indoor Mobility Base
. This is one size to suit both seat sizes 1 and 2.
. It features a telescoping wheel base with swivelling double castors.
. The base enables seat height adjustment.

Kimba Multi functional Seating Unit
. Seat depth, seat width, backrest and footrest height are adjustable. The footrest is adjustable in knee angle and height. The footplate is angle adjustable.
. Adjustable hip and lateral supports are standard, thorax and head support pads are optional. Various belt and harness systems are available.
. The seating unit is able to be tilted.
. The backrest is able to be reclined separately from the seat.
. A range of fabrics are available.
. Available in two sizes. Size 1 is for children approximately one to six years of age, and size 2 for children approximately 4 to 10 years.
. Automatic quick release mechanism allows the seat to be positioned facing forward or away from the direction of travel.
