Latham tactile indicator studs are available in stainless steel and brass, either with Latham Supagrit Silicone Carbide slip resistant mineral inserts or full metal with Spiral Top (stainless steel only). Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Designed in accordance with AS 1428.4-2002.

The Studs are designed for applications where rubber and concrete based tactile tiles may not be suitable.
They are a more visually attractive alternative to rubber or concrete based products.

Factors To Consider
NOTE: The manufacturer does NOT recommend the use of Latham tactile Indicator Studs in carpet applications due to the possibility of trip hazards caused by the settling of carpet fibre.
Installation
The Studs can be installed in tiles, marble, granite, terrazzo, concrete, vinyl, timber and most solid flooring surfaces.
All studs should be installed into correctly drilled holes using Latham Thixotropic Stud Adhesive. All studs need to be installed in accordance with AS 1428.4-2002 where applicable.
The Building Code of Australia specifies in what situations TGSI must be installed. To comply with the BCA the installation must be in full compliance with the relevant sections of the current AS1428.4. Tactile ground surface indicators for the orientation of people with vision impairment. This standard provides specifications on the form of TGSI and on their installation. Refer to this standard to determine the luminance contrast required between the TGSI and the surrounding ground surface and for installation details including width, length and location for a wide range of applications
