Open shackle of the lock, set 4 digit combination code. This is only required to secure the unit to a fixed area. Once this is secured you should not be required to remove the key safe from its location. Closing the shackle will set the code.
Open side section where the key will be stored, set 4 digit combination code, this will be recorded when you close the slide compartment.
Mix up the 4 digits which will secure both the side compartment and shackle.
The unit can be mounted to a wall with a bracket - separate purchase.
