Universal mattress
PUR foam mattress for ambulant users who are not at risk of developing pressure sores. Load capacity 150 kg.

Cubimatt Mattress
Foam mattress with a segmented surface and edge zone reinforcement. For people at low risk of developing pressure sores. Load capacity 120 kg.

Micromatt
Three layered cold foam mattress with venting channels and a convoluted foam surface. Load capacity 120 kg. For people at low risk of developing pressure sores

Viskomatt
Two layered cold foam mattress with the upper layer made from 40 mm viscoelastic thermo foam and the lower layer made of 80 mm cold foam. Load capacity 150 kg. For people at medium risk of developing pressure sores

Prophymatt
A hybrid mattress with edge zone reinforcement. The surface is viscose elastic foam. The head and heel area is made of a viscose and cold foam mix. Load capacity 130 kg. For people at high risk of developing pressure sores

COVERS
Aqua, Aqua Plus and Lintex covers are made from fluid resistant, stretch fabric. Covers have a zip and are removable.

Factors To Consider

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.

Standards

Some assistive technology needs to meet Australian or other standards. Standards may relate to materials, manufacturing and installation.
