Drive system
A roped drum, braked gear motor with a 0.5 kw capacity. The lift requires a 240v AC power supply or a standby power supple of 24v DC.

Extruded aluminum.
Battery back-up
Lowers lift to the ground (lowest level) in event of mains power failure. The users drives the lift to the ground floor using the standby power supply.
Safety features
* The lift requires a key for operation which can help prevent unauthorized use. There are also remote control pendants which when activated will bring the lift to the corresponding floor the user is on.
* The lift comes with full height lift curtain protection and automatic lighting inside.
Method Of Use
The lift control has a 'hold to run' handle to operate when in use, the control handle requires constant pressure to activate the lift. The lift is quiet during operation and incorporates soft starting and stopping.
Considerations
The lift is not designed for wheelchair use. Note that the door width is only 610mm
Lift Registration
In NSW the owner or controller of the lift (if not the owner) is required to register their lift with WorkCover. They need to complete the WorkCover form PIR (Plant Item Registration)January 2011 Application for the registration of an item of plant
A fee of $65 is charged for a lift installed in a public place. There is no charge for a lift installed in a private home. The applicant must state that the plant has been inspected by a competent person and is safe to operate (use).
It is compulsory that the lift in a public place be inspected annually by a competent person. WorkCover requires payment for registration as well as an annual fee.
