Short Description
A battery operated shower trolley with all the functions controlled via an electronic footplate. Powered adjustments include height as well as raising the lying area in the middle to assist turning, flattening the lying area and flattening the sides for transferring the user. The foot operated controls are located on both sides of the chassis.
Method Of Use
* To transfer a patient from a bed to the shower trolley, firstly lower the handrail at the side by gently pushing it towards the head of the trolley
* Using the foot controls, place the lying area in a flat position, the trolley will automatically beep to indicate that the lying area is flat
* Again, using the foot controls, bring the trolley to the desired height and then push it parallel to the bed
* Take care that the side wall of the lying area is on the mattress of the bed and lock all four castors
* Normally transferring is by means of a sliding aid or by rolling the user
* After transferring the user to the trolley, use the foot controls to bring up the side wall and then raise the handrail
* Before transporting the user, remember to unlock the brakes on the
castors and lock them again when the journey has been completed
* At all times the Forelli should only be used to transport on flat surfaces

Factors To Consider
The Forelli can be a useful aid when dressing some people as it helps
the carer to turn the patient onto their left or right side.
Maintenance
The Forelli should be cleaned after every use. Use normal disinfecting
solution to clean the cover. After cleaning, use the foot controls to bring the
Forelli into the 'W' position and hang the edges of the cover over the sides of
the handrails. This will allow air to get underneath the cover and it will dry more
quickly. The headrest should also be disinfected as should the drain pipe.
The foot controls, battery and motor should be cleaned with a dry cloth.
