Short Description
A mat with handles, used to assist users in various transfers such as adjusting bed position. The MoveMaster is suited for use against bare skin, for example, when transferring to shower chairs or toilet. It is made from ultra low friction material to reduce friction under the user, features soft padding and has reinforced seams. The MoveMaster Sliding Mat has three handles at one end.
Available in one size.
Method Of Use
MoveMaster is a friction-reducing assistive device that can be used to advantage together with an EasyGlide to facilitate transfers in a seated position. MoveMaster is folded double and slides against itself to move the patient over the underlying surface.
1. Place MoveMaster under the patient using either one hand or with the help of an EasyGlide. EasyGlide can function as a bridge between the bed or wheelchair or shower chair. Lean the patient slightly in the opposite direction when positioning the MoveMaster. During transfer, the patient is leaned in the direction of transfer to reduce the contact surface under the 'sit bones' (the lowest bony prominences or ischial tuberosities), thereby sliding more easily.
2. To remove the MoveMaster, lean the patient in the opposite direction, hold the upper section of the MoveMaster, and then pull the lower section in the other
direction.

Factors To Consider
For safe use, check the condition and function of the product regularly, and always after laundering. Check to ensure that the fabric is not worn, damaged or bleached. If there are signs of wear, the product must be discarded.
Check the seams and strength of the MoveMaster by pulling on the handles.
Test MoveMaster's friction by rolling it and noting how easily it glides.
If possible, compare with a new MoveMaster.
