Short Description
A battery operated bath lift that consists of a fabric band on a roller which retracts into the wall mounted unit. The band pulls out, runs across the bath rim and slots into a floor mounted padded stool. The user transfers from the stool onto the belt which lowers and raises the user in the bath. A grab rail for mounting to the wall is included. The product is only suitable for people with good sitting balance.
Method Of Use
A hand control is used to operate a battery powered motor that gently rotates the roller letting out the band, lowering the user into the bath. The roller is rotated in the reverse direction to lift the user up.

Factors To Consider
* As this lift only consists of a band of reinforced material,it offers no back or trunk support. It is therefore not suitable for people with poor sitting balance and poor trunk control as the user has to adjust their sitting position several times during the lowering and raising process
* Having no backrest means that the person can fully recline in the bath
* The belt lowers the user to the base of the bath
* The belt can be unclipped when not in use to allow others to use the bath
* The lift must be permanently attached to the side of the bath and the wall
