Environmental control units enable people with limited physical control to turn electrical appliances on and off independently. Over the years, technology has developed to an extent that it is now possible to control everything from a fan and radio to a security system and telephone. Many systems operate through infrared or radio control modules connected to electrical devices throughout the home. More modules can be added to the system as needs change.
