Modern mattresses are made in a variety of ways and from a variety of materials. They can be made using a combination of springs, latex, foam, gel or water. Mattress choice generally depends on personal preferences, physical needs and budget.
The Comfort Air mattress overlay provides constant low pressure support to the sacrum and heels area. The degree of patient immersion for the sacrum area is controlled by the volume of air introduced into the Roho air section with a hand pump. It can be suitable for anyone with unstable fractures or patients who does not tolerate alternating air dynamic mattresses. The mattress provides even pressure distribution and high comfort.
This mattress overlay has a combination of foam and air flotation. A central and foot end cut-out allows a Roho air flotation section to be inserted. This provides constant low pressure support to the sacrum and heels area. It can be suitable for anyone with unstable fractures or a patient who does not tolerate alternating air dynamic mattresses.
The Foamrest mattress and mattress overlay consist of independent foam cells and is available with an optional soft but strong waterproof cover. The Foamair is a combination of foam cells and air flotation. A central removable section in the foam allows an air flotation section to be inserted to provide maximum sacral protection.
A foam and alternating air mattress replacement system designed for use with people at very high risk of developing pressure areas. The user can alternate between a static foam mattress to the dynamic system by connecting the air insert under the foam creating an alternating air underlay. The standard size is single. Other sizes are available on request.
