The Tax Office has free audio tapes and compact disks of TaxPack 2007 and TaxPack 2007 supplement for people who are blind or have a vision impairment. If lodging the tax return online, e-tax is compatible with common screen reader software.

Goods and Services Tax is tax paid on goods manufactured or imported into Australia. Medical aids and appliances that meet certain criteria are GST free. Information is available as a publication or can be viewed / downloaded from the Australian Taxation Office web site.

Under the Goods and Services tax (GST) legislation there are concessions for eligible people with disabilities who purchase new cars, second hand cars and car parts.
