More Details

Frame: A rear wheel drive scooter with an epoxy coated steel frame. The frame is designed to reinforce the cowlings to avoid cracking. The scooter has fibreglass cowlings, alloy wheels, and slip resistant rubber on the base. It has a rear chrome plated bumper and a protection strip around the front of the base. The tiller angle is adjustable. Available in two colours.
Seat: There are two options in the standard seat. Both are desk style chairs with lift up arms, and are adjustable in height and backrest angle. The seats are capable of rotating 360 degrees via a lever under the seat. The lever is pulled up towards the seat to release the lock. One chair has a high back, while the other has a lower back, head rest extension and lateral contouring.
Armrests are adjustable in width and height
Controls are a touch pad instrument panel including a speed control knob with fast / slow indicators, an illuminated display for battery status and a key operated power switch. The controls can be programmed for speed, braking and acceleration.
Transporting the scooter is facilitated by removing the seat and batteries and folding the tiller flat.
Brakes are electromagnetic
Freewheeling mechanism is operated by a lever situated above the right back wheel.
Battery charging is achieved by connecting the charger provided to a mains power point and plugging it into the scooter at the marked charging terminal on the tiller.
Batteries are stored in separate boxes under the seat.
Rear wheels are 285mm diameter, pneumatic. Available in block or ripple tread pattern.
Front wheel is 260mm diameter, pneumatic. Available in block or ripple tread pattern.
Footspace is sloped with slip resistant rubber on the platform. There is room to place feet either side of the tiller base.
Basket attaches to the front of the tiller.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
Registration requirements
In NSW, motorised wheelchairs that weigh less than 110 kg and cannot travel at more than 10 km/h do not have to be registered, provided they are being used by a person with mobility problems. A person driving a motorised wheelchair under these circumstances is defined as a pedestrian under the Australian Road Rules and is permitted to travel on a footpath or nature strip adjacent to the road.
Vehicles exempt from registration are covered by the nominal defendant scheme (administered by the Motor Accidents Authority) if they are at fault in an accident in NSW on a road or road-related area and cause injury to another person. However, this cover is only valid in NSW.
