More Details
MATTRESS
18 individually replaceable air cells integrated with a foam mattress. Sealed in a medical grade fabric shell.
Three distinct zones (head, trunk and foot) allow adjustment of alternating and static pressure in selected areas.
Rapid CPR pull.
Operating Parameters
Weight range 36-230kgs
Height range 127-198cms
COVER
A patented coverlet reduces shear, friction, moisture and heat. The quilted, breathable, five-layer design is impermeable to water, yet permeable to vapor molecules (perspiration). Contains thousands of microscopic vents for low air loss. In addition, the mattress fabric has been designed to provide an anti-shear / anti friction surface for improved skin to bed surface interface. The fabric is machine washable.
ATTACHMENT
Five bed frame attachment straps
THERAPIES
The alternating pressure feature provides relief by deflating and inflating every other air cell on a timed interval. The system provides continuous movement of air cells to release constant pressure and enhance circulation. The deflated air cells provide pressure relief, while the inflated air cells support the patient's weight.
The controlled Low Air Loss (LAL) feature provides an optimum temperature environment to assist in patient healing and comfort. LAL therapy is delivered through a patented SenTech Coverlet that provides a flow of diffused air directly to the patient's skin through thousands of microscopic vents.
ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER
To set up - enter patient height, weight, and press auto set
The Millennium 3 electronic controller provides a real-time display of air pressure for both the inflated and deflated cells. The amount of pressure to support a patient can be set automatically based on patient height and weight or can be manually set for custom configurations. The whisper quiet control unit includes a built-in help screen to assist with immediate answers such as assistance with patient set-up, or any operational function.
Fowler Boost automatically adjusts pressure for inclined or seated patients
Flexible Air Floatation mode
Visual monitoring and Sensor Technology
Non volatile memory, returns to previous setting if power is interrupted
Max Firm mode allows for a firm surface during nursing protocols
Compressor driven pump for reduced noise
Easy touch pad operation
Panel lockout secures panel from setting changes
Internal sensors detect and adjust changes in pressure
Cycle time: 4-9 minutes
Hose connectors: colour coded, press on
Factors To Consider
All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
