Short Description
A Personal Alarm Call System that is externally monitored. It consists of a water resistant pendant which is worn around their neck at all times, even in the shower. A "receiver"unit sits with the phone and connects to the phone line. In an emergency, a press of the VitalCall pendant alerts the Response Centre which is staffed 24 hours / day, 7 days per week.
Method Of Use
If a person requires assistance, the pendant is pressed to send an instruction to the receiver to dial VitalCall. The person's information (previously provided by the person) is automatically displayed to the VitalCall Response Centre, so they know who is calling, the address and medical history, plus the people to contact in an emergency.
The monitoring service will contact the family or nominated person and the ambulance if necessary. The Vitalcall operator is able to talk to the person in the house via a microphone on the receiver unit. They will continue to talk with the person until help arrives and determines what assistance is required.
