HomeFree at Home is a wireless electronic monitoring system designed to alleviate concerns of wandering. It initiates alerts once a person leaves a predefined area. Suitable for domestic use. The system comprises a wrist watch transmitter, a home monitoring unit, caregiver's pager and optional visual alerts.
This bed monitor combines a system of up to three infrared sensors positioned around the bed to alert a carer when the occupant in the bed begins a sideways movement to get out of the bed. The monitor is clamped onto the bed head. It works in conjunction with a nurse call system. A remote alarm or pager with room and bed display are optional.
This mains powered monitor is a small column that is attached to the head of a bed. It uses invisible beams to define the edge of the bed. When a person attempts to leave the bed it triggers the Nurse Call System. Alternatively the carer can be alerted by a remote alarm or pager.
This is a free standing battery operated device that continuously monitors a short distance in front of a chair with an invisible beam. It consists of a portable column on a circular base. The unit is positioned beside and slightly in front of a chair. It activates immediately when a person attempts to leave their chair by standing or slipping off. The carer is alerted by the remote alarm or pager.
A directional radio transmitter and receiver system to help locate people who wander. The radio transmitter can be supplied as a pendant worn around the neck, or as a belt, with a zippered back. Several colours are available. Check with the supplier regarding the possibility of accessing a receiver unit which is already in operation in your area. NOTE: May not be suitable for all areas.
A range of 'Do it yourself' home security devices designed for use as anti intruder alarms. These devices are all stand alone units which emit an alarm sound when activated.
This floor alarm gives an early warning when a person is getting out of bed. It consists of a thin floor mat and a choice of carer alert options. The mat material is only 1.5mm thick at the edge to help prevent trips. It has a wipeable lino material on the top and a slip resistant material underneath.
