A range of battery powered stand up alarms that can be used to alert a carer that a person is getting out of a chair or out of bed. Floor, chair and bed models are available. Some models connect to a Nurse Call system.
The Passive Infrared Sensor is for monitoring very active or restless persons, whose movements might cause false alarms when using mattress or clip-on type sensors. It works by detecting a change in temperature when a person crosses the sensor. When sensor is placed horizontally, infrared beams projects up to 4.27meters at an angle of 24 degrees wide and 14 degrees high. Sensor can be positioned on door frame too.
The battery powered Infrared monitor and receiver are designed as a wandering person's alarm. The transmitter sensor is wall or doorway mounted. It detects movement in a 60 degree arc. The portable receiver receives an alert signal from up to 30 metres from the transmitter. The motion alarm can be set to sound at the transmitter or at the receiver.
This alarm system consists of an alarm unit and a sensor. It provides an alert via a wireless pager or nurse call system, that a person has risen from their bed or chair and / or is in an area that requires monitoring. The Proxi-Mate range of sensors include bed and chair sensors and an infra red sensor. It is suitable for aged care, home care and hospitals.
The resident monitoring system monitors residents activities according to pre-set parameters (or personalities) for each individual. The system includes sensors for day and night operation connected to a computer which sends messages to staff via vibrating pocket paging receivers.
A foam wheelchair cushion with an integral sensor unit which connects to an alarm box mounted on the back of the chair. The alarm sounds when the wheelchair user starts to vacate the seat. The sensor is sealed inside a vinyl cover with a cloth outer cover.
An alarm system which monitors when a person leaves their bed or chair. This is useful for a person who may wander or is at risk of falling. The monitoring is achieved through use of a pressure mat.
A small body worn transmitter which sends out a periodic radio signal which is monitored by an alarm unit. When the person wearing the transmitter moves beyond the range of 40 metres from the alarm panel an audible alarm is activated.
