"igniting possibilities"
The SPARK Creative Arts Festival is for people living with a disability. Now in its ninth year, SPARK is set to go off like a fire cracker with this year’s Chinese and Aboriginal inspired theme ‘Where the Dragon meets the serpent”. With nine workshops, heaps of entertainment, expect the Sparks to fly … get ready to ignite possibilities.
SPARK is designed to support people with a disability to find their voice through the creative outlets of music, dance, art and performance. In a positive and safe environment, people with a disability can come together to share their stories, interests and ideas and be given the opportunity to share their experiences.

Bridging the AT Gap
Location: Sydney Masonic Function Centre, NSW
Current waves of smart technology create new dynamics in the access and use of assistive technology (AT).
As Australia moves towards a National Disability Insurance Scheme, there is a potential widening gap in keeping up-to-date with AT equipment, services, policies and funding for the inclusion and participation of people with a disability.
ARATA 2012 Conference: “Bridging the AT Gap”, will provide the opportunity for all stakeholders, including clinicians, therapists, educators, rehabilitation engineers, inventors, suppliers and consumers to meet in Sydney, to share knowledge, experience and expertise to help bridge the AT gap through this forum-style 3-days conference.
