Transition to Work is a Northcott based government funded service for people with disabilities who require assistance to get a job or to study after finishing school. The vocational educators work closely with the client to develop their own personal skill learning program through group and individual activities. The service is available from eight NSW locations.

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a worldwide educational movement for older people who are in the ?third age?. This is the post retirement stage of life, when one has time for pursuing wider interests. Sydney U3A is a self-help association of almost 5,000 members in seven regions across the Sydney metropolitan area. It offers more than 200 daytime courses on a wide range of subjects.
Low vision clinics are operated through the University of NSW School of Optometry and Vision Science. They are located at the university and Chatswood. No referral is necessary, however a request needs to be made specifically for a low vision assessment. Patients can call the clinic themselves to schedule a time.

Variety, the Children's Charity (NSW) helps any child or child related organisation in need. They do so by purchasing equipment, which is done via an appeals process. Variety's Freedom Program encompasses three major areas including equipment for individual children, Sunshine Coaches and Liberty Swings. Variety is unable to help purchase new or second hand vehicles but can contribute to the cost of vehicle modifications.

The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) has a Veteran's Home Care Program to help eligible veterans and war widows / widowers remain in their own homes for longer. This is a low level home care service that include domestic assistance, personal care, home and garden maintenance and respite care.

Vision Australia assists children and adults who are blind or vision impaired to maximise their opportunities by providing specialist staff, information, technology and other resources that will meet individual needs. Centres are located throughout NSW (Contact Sydney office or see web site).
